Santa, after witnessing the birth of Jesus and seeing the joy the wise men exhibited from giving their gifts, decides to carry on this wonderful "giving" tradition. This Santa gives, not because the children have been good, but because of the joy he receives from giving. He encourages the children to donate just one of their toys or make a Christmas card for a lonely or needy person, so the children also can experience this wonderful "Joy of Giving".
